Signposts Along the Way: Signpost 11 – Part 2 of 3: Witnessing the Lord

12 Sep

As we moved from service to service, I witnessed all sorts of miracles transpire right in front of me! Here are just a few that were truly memorable…

At a service at Greenwich, Connecticut we witnessed our friend Rosa get healed from a  plaguing stomach condition that had traveled with her most of her adult life. This condition made it almost impossible to eat anything but a very limited and bland diet. I spoke with her  a few days after the service. Not only was her stomach condition completely healed, but she and her husband stopped on the way home from the service and enjoyed a “real” dinner at a restaurant. Something they hadn’t done in years.

In Massachusetts, my mom was the recipient of a healing. She had a large cyst in her neck, that although benign, was continuing to grow. She had this cyst for so long that she would forget it was there until someone asked her about it due to its noticeable size and placement. After leaving the service that day, we noticed that her cyst had completely disappeared! Father DiOrio hadn’t even called on her for prayer directly. Jesus’ healing power was so strong at that service that she received a healing without even being prayed for.

At an another amazing service in Danbury, Connecticut, Father D’Orio prayed “The Prayer of Faith” for a sweet, elderly nun who was wheelchair bound due to severe rheumatoid arthritis. After his prayer, she slowly stood up and walked out of her wheelchair. We later learned that for the last ten years, she hadn’t been able to stand, let alone walk, without the aid or assistance of another person.

At each of those events, Jesus’ presence was manifested with all kinds of physical and emotional healings. Lives and hearts were changed forever. All the praise, honor and glory goes to Jesus. His stories are unending and forever memorable.
